Shwmae Sumae Day Assembly!

Today, we gathered together in our school hall for a special assembly led by our Criw Cymraeg Pupil Action Group. The children talked to us about a very important day for Wales — Shwmae Sumae Day, which takes place tomorrow!

We learned all about how we can get ready to celebrate this wonderful day by using as much Welsh as possible around school and greeting everyone with a cheerful “Shwmae!” or “Sumae!”. The Criw Cymraeg gave us great ideas on how to enjoy the day and reminded us how proud we should be of our Welsh language and culture.

To finish, we all stood proudly and sang our National Anthem, filling the hall with voices full of pride and joy.

Diolch pawb! We’re ready to use our best Welsh tomorrow and celebrate being part of such a special country!
