Great Big Live Assembly – Celebrating Black History Month

The children had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a Great Big Live Assembly to celebrate Black History Month. This special event focused on the inspiring story of Rosa Parks, a courageous woman who famously refused to give up her seat on a bus and helped spark the civil rights movement in America.

Through videos, stories, and discussion, the children learnt how Rosa’s brave actions and determination helped to change the world and inspired others to stand up for equality and justice. It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to reflect on the importance of fairness, respect, and making a difference in our world today.
