Learning About Emotional Wellbeing with Swansea Bay Health Board
This week, our class had a special visit from a representative of the Swansea Bay Health Board, who came to talk to us about CAMHS – the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. The session was a fantastic opportunity for the children to learn more about how to look after their mental health and understand the importance of emotional wellbeing.
Through an engaging workshop, the pupils explored different ways to recognise and manage their feelings, learning strategies for emotional regulation and how to respond to challenges in a positive way. The session encouraged open discussion, empathy and self-awareness, helping everyone to realise that it’s okay to talk about how we feel.
We are very grateful to Swansea Bay Health Board for their time and care in supporting our children’s emotional development. It was an informative and uplifting session that left everyone feeling more confident about understanding and managing their emotions.
