Celebrating County Finals Success – A Proud Day for Our School!
This week, our talented athletes represented our school in the county athletics finals – competing against the very best from Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot. Despite soaring temperatures, our pupils showed outstanding determination, sportsmanship, and resilience, making us all incredibly proud.
In a day full of excitement and strong performances, our relay team gave it everything in an incredibly fast-paced race. They narrowly missed out on a medal, finishing in a very respectable 6th place. The speed and teamwork on display were truly impressive – a real credit to the school.
We were also thrilled to celebrate a gold medal victory! Estelle, one of our fantastic Year 6 pupils, put in a superb performance in the shot put. She threw an incredible 7 metres and 44 centimetres – securing 1st place in her event and taking home the gold! What an achievement!
A huge congratulations to all of our athletes who took part. Your effort, positive attitude, and team spirit shone through all day. You have done yourselves – and our school – proud!
