Year 3 Travel Back in Time at the Roman Museum!

An exciting day of discovery and adventure in Newport

Year 3 had a fantastic day out at the Roman Museum in Newport as part of their topic on the Romans. The sun was shining as the children explored the fascinating world of Roman Britain. First, they visited the Roman baths, learning how the Romans kept clean and relaxed after a long day. Next, they stood in awe at the impressive remains of the amphitheatre, imagining the roar of the crowd in the Colosseum.

Inside the museum, the children explored ancient artefacts and learnt more about Roman life. The highlight of the day was the Roman soldier workshop, where everyone had the chance to try on real Roman armour and take part in a marching drill with shields and swords. It was a truly memorable day full of fun, learning and excitement!
