Year 6

Welcome to our Year 6 home page.
Our class saint is St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American to be recognised as a saint by the Catholic Church. She was born in 1656, in the Mohawk village of Ossernenon. She was canonised by Pope Benedict XVI in 2012. She is the patroness of ecology and the environment, people in exile and Native Americans.


Spring Term 

Topic explores the Polar regions. Covering climate, landscape, vegetation, wildlife adaptation, food webs and the effect of human activity.
RE makes the journey from Galilee to Jerusalem, investigating the links between miracles and sacraments, through Jesus' ministry.
Numeracy focusses on decimals and equivalent fractions.
Gym is on Tuesdays. Homework is set online and due in on Wednesday.
