Year 3

Welcome to Year 3

Our class saint is St. Bernadette. We had a class vote after the children had presented their favourites to the class.

St. Bernadette is a beloved saint known for her humble and faithful life. Born in Lourdes, France, in 1844, Bernadette had a special encounter with the Virgin Mary when she was just a young girl.  St. Bernadette's feast day is celebrated on February 18th, providing an opportunity for children to learn about her life, her connection to the Virgin Mary, and the importance of believing in the miraculous.

Topic this term is Through the Ages. This project teaches children about British prehistory from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, including changes to people and lifestyle caused by ingenuity, invention and technological advancement.

Religion: Galilee to Jerusalem. We will be learning about: Parables, The Epiphany, Miracles, Saints, The kingdom of God and making links between the Our Father, the Scriptures and life.
