Nursery

Welcome to Nursery

In Nursery this year, our class Saint is Saint Francis of Assisi. Saint Francis’s Feast day was on the 4th of October. We chose him because in our class we had a mutual love for animals and the environment, which is something that Saint Francis looks after. In our class, we have our class fish which Saint Francis helps us to look after.

The spring term topics are:
Once upon a time – familiar and traditional tales.
Starry night – The world at night compared to the day.
Dangerous Dinosaurs – Linking the Dinosaurs to animals alive today.
Puddles and Rainbows – The weather during spring.
Religious Education: Galilee to Jerusalem – The pupils will hear the stories of the Wise men, Jesus blesses the little children and the Feeding of the 5000. They will also be introduced to the ‘Glory be’ prayer and will also begin to understand how important it is to act like Jesus by being welcoming and showing love to all people. Desert to Garden – Pupils will learn about Lent, Easter and a very simplified version of the events within Holy Week.
