An exciting day of discovery and adventure in Newport
Year 5 had lots of fun ata Bishop Vaughan on Thursday 19th June. They took part in a sports day with all our Catholic cluster schools, with lots of different events and fun games. Big thanks to Ms. Torrance for organising the day.
On Wednesday 11th June we celebrated International Day of Play. This was a time to celebrate the power of play and to raise awareness about how central play is to every child’s development and well-being. All our classes had lots of fun.
Yr 5 visited LLanelli Wetlands Centre as part of their learning on their topic 'Sow, Grow & Farm.' The pupils learnt a lot about habitats and the weather was kind to them!
Yr 6 visited the Swansea Waterfront Museum to hear safety talks from Crucial Crew. They heard from Road Safety, Water Safety, Network Rail, Food Standards Wales and many more. Their behaviour was excellent, and they learnt a lot about how to keep themselves safe as they grow older.
Have a look at our fantastic film skills documented by Miss Julie. Huge thanks to Mrs Brannigan, Mrs Walker and Mr Williams from Pen y Bryn School for all of their hard work to ensure our pupils have fantastic opportunities and build on their skills through our creative curriculum.

Thank you to Ann, Christina, Christo, Steve and Beatrice, who left us last year for Bishop Vaughan, for crowning Our Lady’s statue in St Benedict’s last week.
Lots of photos of our Yr 6 residential to LLangrannog. Huge thanks to Mr Maddock, Mrs Weaver and Mrs Aga for giving up their time to take the pupils on this wonderful experience.
We were delighted to hold our Crowning of Our Lady service in the school yard, a beautiful celebration of faith and devotion. A heartfelt thank you to Fr. Sarji, who led the service with reverence and warmth. The children took part by praying with their rosaries and placing beautiful flowers at the foot of our statue of Mary. We were joined by many parents, and we were truly blessed with fine weather as the rain stayed away, allowing everyone to enjoy this special moment together.
Pupils from Year 3 and 4 had a fantastic time in Neath today as they took part in an exciting Urdd Jambori celebration. The children sang Welsh songs with enthusiasm, danced with joy, and most importantly, had lots of fun! It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Welsh culture and language together.
Today, Image Theatre visited our school to perform a lively and interactive version of The Jungle Book. The children were captivated by the colourful costumes, catchy songs and exciting storytelling. Some pupils even had the chance to join in and act alongside the cast on stage!
